In the third quarter of 2022, the performance of the top five social networking applications in Greece, as analyzed by Sensor Tower, revealed notable trends across weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat saw an increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $6.4K in the first week of August. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 830 in the same week. Active users showed a slight decline from 7.5K in late August to around 7.3K by the end of September.

Rakuten Viber Messenger maintained a steady revenue stream, averaging around $2.1K to $2.4K weekly. Download numbers remained robust, with a peak of 15.6K in late September. Active user numbers saw a significant rise from 4.5M in late June to 4.8M by the end of September.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out experienced a varied revenue trend, starting at $3.7K in late June and dipping to about $2.4K towards the end of September. Weekly downloads were stable, peaking at 8.6K in mid-July. Active users remained consistent, fluctuating around 260K to 280K throughout the quarter.

Minichat - video chat, texting showed steady revenue, with a peak of $1K in mid-September. Downloads, however, saw a downward trend from 650 in late August to just over 300 by the end of September. Active users also dropped from around 1K in late August to about 670 by the end of the quarter.

Skype displayed consistent revenue, hovering around $1.2K weekly. Downloads increased steadily, reaching a high of 4.3K in mid-September. Active users grew from approximately 90K in late June to over 100K by the end of September.
